Are you concerned about a captive wild animal you have seen? Have you visited a zoo or other captive facility and seen animals being kept in poor conditions or cruelly treated? Have you encountered animals being exploited in a circus or show, used for interactive encounters or as a prop for souvenir photographs? If so, please report it to Born Free via our form below.

All the reports we receive provide vital evidence to support our work campaigning to help wild animals in captivity. We also provide useful guidance as to how you can take action to help the animals you have seen further.

Describing cages as ‘small’, conditions as ‘terrible’ or animals looking ‘sad’ will not provide enough information to encourage the relevant authorities to take action. What animals are involved and how many? How did their physical/mental condition appear? What was their cage or enclosure like e.g. approx. size, enrichment, furnishings etc. If there were performing animals, what did the ‘show’ consist of? Was there any direct animal contact involved?
