Born Free’s Will Travers and Virginia McKenna remember Bill Kenwright, long-term partner of Born Free Trustee, Jenny Seagrove
The passing of Bill Kenwright CBE, the long-term partner of Born Free Trustee, Jenny Seagrove, is a time of true loss. Social media is full of personal memories of Bill and his love of football (chairman of Everton FC for 19 years), his acting talent (Coronation Street), and his passion for the theatre (he was the producer of such memorable West End shows as Blood Brothers, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Man for all Seasons and many more). But the universal response to his death are comments celebrating his kindness, and generosity and compassion for those less fortunate than himself.
His was a life well-lived, and my thoughts and the thoughts of all those at Born Free are with dear Jenny and Bill’s family and friends. He is sorely missed.
