International Education & Communities

Born Free wants to transform attitudes towards wild animal welfare and conservation. Through our work, either directly undertaken by our country office teams or through our education partners, we reach schools, communities and individuals living alongside some of the world’s most threatened wildlife.

Kenya

In Kenya, our education programme focuses on school-based conservation clubs and community work around Amboseli National Park and Meru Conservation Area.

In South Africa, our education programme is based out of our two big cat sanctuaries at Shamwari Private Game Reserve, giving children and adults an opportunity to learn about wildlife.

Our education programme at Ensessa Kotteh, Born Free’s Wildlife Rescue, Conservation and Education Centre in Ethiopia, offers both outreach activities and centre-based learning for schools, environmental clubs and community members.
